Friendly Visitors

As an extension of our Home Care Services Program, the “Friendly Visitors” program is a volunteer initiative that provides in home companion support to an aging adult in need.  “Friendly Visitors” are that welcome smile, heart and spirit that offer the gift of time to an aging adult and needed relief to a primary caregiver so that they may take a break and tend to self-care.    As a volunteer “Friendly Visitor” you will engage in the following in home activities to support an older adult:

  • In home Companion
  • Hobby Companion (games, crafts, etc.)
  • Dog walking
  • Assist with setting appointments
  • Asist with errands etc.

We ask that “Friendly Visitor” volunteers complete a volunteer application and background check and refrain from transporting our older adults. We encourage you to contact us if you are interested in being a “Friendly Visitor”, please contact Mara Blake, Home Care Services Director via phone or email at:  303-426-4408 or mblake@seniorhub.org
