COVID-19 Notice: The Senior Hub continues to offer volunteer opportunities in person and remotely.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Senior Hub serves aging adults through several programs, volunteer are critical to the work we do and we have ongoing opportunities to volunteer. Most volunteer opportunities are during regular business hours Monday-Friday. *some special events may be held outside of these times*

Well Elder Program

Well Elder Support Volunteer 

  • Time Commitment: 6 months (2-3 hours per week) 
  • Complete weekly phone calls to 10 clients each week (3 weeks per month) 
    • Fourth week option-assist in presenting programs
  • Locations are remote within your own home or onsite within the organization 
  • Engage in meaningful conversation with aging adult clients via phone calls/zoom
  • Volunteer will offer clients resourceseducation on fraud prevention, COVID-19, and isolation
  • Willingness and ability to utilize the ServTracker database tool to track and document calls 
  • Training will be provided using the Well Elder reassurance call script anServTracker computer database tool

Meals on Wheels – Federal Heights, Northglenn, Thornton & Westminster

Meals on Wheels Delivery Driver  (Age 18+)

  • Monday-Friday (Commitment for MOW Drivers is one shift a week, preferably the same day)
  • 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Senior Hub meal pickup located at the main Senior Hub located at 10190 Bannock St. Ste. 106, Northglenn, CO 80260
  • Pack food for route and then deliver to each client (masks and gloves are mandatory)
  • Background check required, volunteer must provide proof of auto insurance and a valid driver’s license

Meals on Wheels – Commerce City

Meals on Wheels Delivery Driver  (Age 18+)

  • Monday-Friday (Commitment for MOW Drivers is one shift a week, preferably the same day)
  • 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Senior Hub meal pick up 11 am, located at the South Adams County Fire Department, 4711 E 69th Ave, Commerce City, CO 80022
  • Pack food for route and then deliver to each client (masks and gloves are mandatory)
  • Background check required, volunteer must provide proof of auto insurance and a valid driver’s license

Meals on Wheels – Bennett, Byers, Deer Trail & Strasburg

Meals on Wheels Delivery Driver  (Age 18+)

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (Commitment for MOW Drivers is one shift a week, preferably the same day)
  • 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Senior Hub meal pick up at 10:30 am, located in the parking lot of the Hemphill Middle School 2100 Wagner St. Strasburg, CO 80136
  • Pack food for route and then deliver to each client (masks and gloves are mandatory)
  • Background check required, volunteer must provide proof of auto insurance and a valid driver’s license.

Food Pantry

Food Pantry Truck Unload

  • 1st & 3rd Thursday of every month
  • 11:30am-1:30pm
  • Senior Hub located at 10190 Bannock St. #106, Northglenn, CO 80260
  • Unload boxes of food and assist supervisor with organizing and putting food away
  • Help with inventory if needed
  • Masks and gloves are mandatory
