By volunteering only two hours one day a week, you can make a difference with Adams County's Second and Third Grade students who are struggling to read!

Research shows that children who don’t read well entering 4th Grade face four times the likelihood of later dropping out of school.

Since we began in 2010, our before-and-after research shows that our caring assistance significantly boosts the literacy skills and confidence of the children in our program.

We have welcoming partnerships with many schools in Adams County District 1 (Mapleton) 12 (Fed. Heights-Northglenn-Thornton) 14 (Commerce City) 27J (Brighton) and 50 (Westminster).

The collective energies of caring, mature adults help boost the literacy skills of these children in Adams County schools.

Working in a team of three to five others will provide you companionship, cohesion, and a valuable support system.

You will also play a vital mentoring role, boosting students' confidence and supporting good life skills and character development.

No prior is experience necessary —“Newbies” are welcome! Most of our tremendous Tutor-Mentors had never done anything like this before!

Our training and coaching will help you build the confidence to succeed as an RSVP-SWAT Tutor-Mentor.
